About Me

As you may already have read my name is Pablo Obando. Born in Miami on August of 1986 to Nicaraguan Parents. I was raised in Hialeah by the greatest woman I know (my Mom of course). Since as long as I can remember I've loved to draw. I joined an art club when I was in 5th grade to help paint a mural for my elementary school. I don't know if that mural is still there but if it is, on it you'll find the coolest butterfly Fish and Dolphin any 10 year old can draw. I continued to take art classes and advanced Art through out middle school. I never stopped drawing but I lost sight of my passion in high school. It wasn't till my senior year with thinking about colleges that the spark reignited. I originally planned on attending the art institute to study Graphic Design, but once I looked around campus and the student works I felt drawn more towards Computer Animation. The idea of creating characters and even animating them sounded like too much fun to pass up. So it was decided I began studying Computer Animation at Miami International University of Art and Design just a month after graduating High school. My experience at AI was life changing to say the least; I made friendships that I know will last a lifetime as well as learned so much more about what I truly love to do. No matter what I do I know my passion lies in my creativity. So I hope to find a path in life that allows me just that, the chance to be creative. While I would also still like to pursue a career in Graphic Design, I will never stop drawing cartoons. It's just too much fun.
